About

I had a long a successful career as a Transportation and Land Use Planner. My work won accolades from professional organizations across the country, but I felt like an imposter. This skewed sense of self tool its toll on my marriage and after a 37-year relationship, I chose to call it quits.  The following summer, I had a mystical and unexplainable experience involving a crow suicide.   After some deep soul searching and a TRUST that the universe had my back, I left my position in January 2011 and took some time to determine what was to be my next step.

I have always been a prolific dreamer but in that time, I had a profound and prophetic dream in which I was listening to a woman singing. I felt every note she expressed move through me. It was so electrifying, I knew I had to speak to her. When I told her how her sounds made me feel, she cocked her head to one side and asked "what do you mean"?  In response, I said "it's like this", at which point I opened my arms wide and my legs lifted behind me; I was prone about six feet off the ground and feeling freer than I had ever felt in my life.  And then I awoke.

That dream gave me HOPE; it reminded me of how important my love of singing had been during my youth in a home built on trauma.  That dream and many others since have guided my journey in the exploration of Energy Medicine which taught me the important connection between BELIEF and biology.

Along with leadership and facilitation trainings in my first career, I now hold a certificate in Sound Therapy and in Applied Kinesiology.  I am studying Biosonic Tuning Fork Frequencies with John Beaulieu.  I am a long time Reiki and Shamanic Practitioner as well as a Facilitator of Joanna Macy's The Work That Reconnects. I've studied Healing and Therapeutic Gardens at the Boston Architectural College; I've participated in a program at Kripalu called Sing the Body Electric with Eileen Mckusick and the Brothers Koren; I hold a certificate in CPR and First Aid and am a Maine Notary Public and Marriage Officiant.

In addition to offering individual and group sound sessions, I create, solo or collaborative experiential workshops and events designed to generate connection, inspire creativity and foster spiritual healing.

As a breast cancer survivor, my treatment relied on my strength of spirit and the support system I accumulated over the years by practicing authenticity, vulnerability and maintaining a strong sense of integrity.  It's that same strength of spirit that guides me to this day.
